Erin Turner Bride-to-Be

ashleycopelandinc is pleased to announce that our bridal division is working with new bride-to-be, Erin Turner.  Erin, a former Top Ten Miss Alabama pageant contestant, is planning her wedding in Birmingham, AL for November of 2008.  Erin has been amazing to work with.  She is balancing her full-time PR job extremely well with her wedding plans and is an example of a bride that makes me LOVE being a wedding planner.  Erin met her fiancée, Seth Whaley, when she was just a baby. “Our families were always very close and grew up together, but I grew up in Ohio,” he says, “so we don’t remember seeing each other until after my family moved back to Alabama.  I was in town from college, and Erin was a senior in high school”  The two didn’t see each other again until two and a half years later.  Upon Seth moving back to Birmingham, the two families thought it would be fun to “re-introduce” the childhood friends—or, in dating terms, code word for “set up!”—so they invited Seth to see Erin in the Miss Alabama Pageant.

The couple began dating the very next week, in June of 2004.  Seth called and asked Erin out on what they both describe as the best date ever.  “It was incredible how much fun we had and how hard we laughed,”  Erin says.

On December 28, 2008, Seth honored that first date in his elegant proposal.  He made reservations at the same restaurant and called Erin when he arrived.  She walked out her door to see a bountiful trail of rose petals leading down the hall, through the courtyard, and down the stairs.  They guided her to a limo where Seth proposed.  “I was so amazingly excited” Seth says, “I felt like it was the most important moment in my life.”

The two rode around the Magic City and drank champagne before arriving at their final destination, where Seth had arranged for their parents to surprise his now fiancé. “I was so thrilled to share that night with them!,” Erin says.  “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
